There was so much about this session that I absolutely loved! From the perfectly coordinated outfits to the adorable kids and the coolest horse ever, this shoot was a dream!

As soon as Emily (my trusty ear perker) and I met Alex and her horse, Cher, we knew this was going to be a fun fall session. After we scoped out the farm for the best locations (and got super jealous of the great hills they have there), Alex’s husband and adorable kids arrived and stepped out of the car wearing the best outfits. We also had perfect fall weather to work with which was the icing on the cake.

It didn’t take us long to realize how sweet and gentle their family horse was. Not only is Cher totally safe around the kids, she was so in tune to what everyone in the family was doing and even though she has only been a part of the family since August, you could tell how much she has already bonded with them. If I’ve ever seen a horse worth their weight in gold, it’s this one!! You will see what I mean when you see the pictures of her and the kids…no photoshopping was required to take out someone holding Cher. She just stood perfectly still like she knew it was her job to take care of the little ones.
