Sydney and Little Man were my very last equestrian session in Virginia before I moved to Washington state! Their session was so much fun, especially since they have such a sweet, one-of-a-kind bond. I love how much fun they have together whether it’s trail riding, hanging out around the barn or relaxing after a ride under their favorite tree with a tire swing. This session had exactly what I love to capture in all of my equestrian sessions, the irreplaceable bond between horse and rider.
Sydney got into riding because of her mom, who rode dressage. Although Sydney shares the same love of horses that her mom has, she had her own ideas when it came to which discipline she was going to ride. She took up western and eventually her mom joined her so they could trail ride together. What an awesome thing to share as mother and daughter!
Even though the weather was looking iffy with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the forecast, we ended up with a perfect evening for pictures around the farm where they board in Chesapeake, VA. Here are some of my favorites from Sydney’s equestrian session.
This is their favorite spot to hang out. Little Man grazes while Sydney relaxes on the tire swing.
How awesome is that tree?
I love the horse hair bracelet Sydney has <3
I just couldn’t resist getting some silhouettes as the sun set behind the clouds!
