Best of 2017
Washington & Oregon Equine & Senior Photographer

2017 was a huge year for us. We sold our first home in Virginia, moved across the country to Washington, had lots of visitors in our new home and met some great new people! I always love looking back at the year and reviewing all of our ups, downs and blessings. This year started out pretty hectic as I prepared our VA house to be listed for sale while Justin was living in Washinton and only a month into his new job. We sold our house in April, bought a house in Washington (after a lot of stress) and packed up and moved with the dogs in the middle of May. Driving across the country for the second time in 6 months was pretty crazy but I loved seeing all of the beauty this country has to offer.

Once we got all settled in, Justin deployed to Colombia in August, and thankfully I had lots of visitors that kept me company. Oh yeah, and let’s not forgot…I turned 30! I’m officially old! Justin graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Saint Leo University and I am so proud of him! Going back to school at an older age is not easy and he accomplished it. As we come to the close of the year, I am so proud and excited to have my new photo editing business that I started in October that will replace my income from the job I left in Virginia! This year has been one for the books and I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for us!

Best of 2017

I tagged along to a styled shoot planned by the talented Mandy Ford Photography in Virginia Beach

This dream of a session happened with Tenley & Welly

Cassie & Blue made sure to have me take photos before I left Virginia

Stacey & Finn were so much fun to capture together, the only thing better than a girl and her horse?…a girl and her dog!

Alexa squeezed in a quick session with Rosco while I was still in Chesapeake. Please send extra prayers to her as she battles Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Another dreamy session with Taelyn & Brooklyn with their flower crowns and white ponies happened. Definitely one of my favorites to date!

And of course, we had to get some black background portraits of Rosco!

Reilly & Jack got portraits done right before their first horse show!

Sydney & Little Man showed off their special bond during their equestrian session.

I second shot this gorgeous wedding with Mandy that got featured on the Knot!

Mandy came to visit and kept me company while Justin was in Columbia, so of course, we had to take some headshots!

Rachel and Spencer got engaged!!!

I got to photograph this adorable family again in Colonial Williamsburg!

Strad had a baller senior session!

I got to reconnect with some old friends, Kady & Eric, for a mini couples session

You know the Hawley siblings had their yearly photo session and are as beautiful as ever

The Williams family had photos done as well.

We had an adventure in the snow with Chris & Mandy with their dog Ted, and of course our dogs Dozer & Axel.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a wonderful 2018!
